Celebrating
100 years
of preserving Stratford's History.

It's our anniversary year!

Founded in 1925, the Stratford Historical Society was organized in response to Celia Curtis's generous donation of the Captain David Judson House, her ancestral home. She envisioned the 1723 Georgian-style house as a place to gather and learn about the history of the Town of Stratford and its people. Over the past hundred years, the Society has grown with the addition of the Catharine B. Mitchell Museum in 1959 and the Beach Family Carriage House in 2005. Our collections and archives have also evolved and expanded to include over 15,000 items.

We look forward to the next century of sharing history with our community!
